Chamber Opera World Premiere --- Spring 2015

The world premiere of Kith and Kin, a new chamber opera, featuring soprano Andrea Edith Moore with new texts written by seven widely acclaimed authors: Jeffery Beam, Allan Gurganus, Randall Kenan, Michael Malone, Frances Mayes, Lee Smith and Daniel Wallace. Akin to a collection of interrelated short stories, in which each writer contributed a scene, this new work for voices, actress and chamber orchestra will feature sets designed by photographer Elizabeth Matheson and from Burke-Campbell collection of American Folk Art Buildings. Hill Hall, Chapel Hill. Premieres on March 28, 2015.
